ABOUT FALLING FEATHER
A gentle place for grief, remembrance, and the love that remains
Falling Feather was created to hold space for grief in a softer way. Through soulful tools, beautiful words, and gentle rituals. This is a place to be understood, to feel less alone, and to honour the love that never leaves.

The story behind Falling Feather
After losing my dad unexpectedly, I felt sad and terribly alone. Grief overwhelmed me, and I searched for something—anything—that might help me feel a little less sad and isolated. But I could not find what I needed.
One day, I went for a walk in a park. Surrounded by nature, I began to notice small, ordinary things that somehow felt like messages from my father. Then I saw a feather falling from the sky. To anyone else, it may have been nothing more than a feather carried by the wind. But I watched it move so softly and gracefully, almost as though it were falling in slow motion. For a brief moment, it made me smile.
I thought about how the feather no longer belonged to the bird. In one sense, it was dead—and yet its journey was not over. It would become part of the earth beneath my feet. In time, it would return its organic matter to the soil and help another form of life grow.
The feather had not lost its purpose. I simply had not been able to see it yet.
That moment stayed with me. It gently reminded me that death does not mean that everything ends. Love, memories, and even the smallest traces of a life can continue to shape what comes after. This is how Falling Feather began.
Throughout the first and most painful year after losing my dad, I started turning the reflections that carried me through my grief into cards. Every card was created from a real moment of sorrow, discovery, or connection—often with a tightness in my throat and tears in my eyes.
These cards hold pieces of the journey that helped me survive. I created them in the hope that they might now reach someone else and make them feel a little less alone.
